Well the MLB regular season has officially come to an end and the wildcard showdowns are upon us. We have a loaded four-game slate today as all eight teams that battled for a wild card spot get their first chance at getting one step closer to punching their ticket to the division series today and I am ready to dive into a few games I like.

Texas Rangers vs. Tampa Bay Rays Prediction
To start off our day we are going to go to Tampa Bay for an American League clash between two juggernauts in the Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Rangers. Despite both teams winning 90 games this season and Tampa Bay just shy of 100 wins, the American League West & East were gauntlets this season and only one of these two squads will be moving on.
Normally I really like to play sides once we get to the postseason but I am going to kick the day off with a total here. These are two of the most talented offenses in the league with a lot on the line in these games so I expect the bats to show up despite both teams sending strong arms to the mound. Tyler Glasnow is my main concern as he has seen success against this Texas squad before but with the way the Rangers have hit all season, I find it hard to see them getting shut down tonight.
On the flip side, multiple Rays hitters have hit Jordan Montgomery very well in their careers and are sporting some strong splits against southpaws this season. Tampa Bay was the number one home over team in baseball this season at 52-29 and at a line of 7.5, I have to bite on this one today.
