Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Philadelphia Phillies Best Bet: Will Merrill Kelly, Diamondbacks Keep Game 2 Low Scoring?
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction, Betting Pick, and Latest Odds for NLCS Game 2
Last night’s NLCS game one almost went according to script, with Schwarber hitting a leadoff tank cashing the Phillies to score first, the YRFI smacking, and Gallen giving up more than 2.5 earned runs. The only bet that didn’t cash was the under, and that barely lost at the end of the game. Will the over cash again tonight, or will the public get crushed on a sneaky game two under?

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction
Merrill Kelly had some interesting comments about the crowd noise at The Bank, stating that he’d be surprised if tonight’s crowd noise trumps the Venezuela game down in Miami earlier this year. He must be feeling pretty confident if he’s willing to poke the bear before his start in Philly tonight…
The public is running with this narrative, backing the over and betting on Philly to go up 2-0 in this series with Nola on the bump for the Phillies tonight. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Phillies get a win tonight, but I do think Kelly backs up his comments with a gem tonight, at least through the first inning.
The YRFI cashed with ease last night after Schwarber and Harper’s first-inning home runs. Tonight, the NRFI is actually juicier (-120) than it was last night after the YRFI cashed, which is a little weird. I’m willing to bet Kelly locks in for the first inning, backing up his chirps from earlier today. Lock in the NRFI; if Arizona scores today, it’s going to be late-game runs like we saw last night.
The NRFI isn’t the only bet I’ve got for tonight’s NLCS game two. I’m going back to the under after we got hooked last night with the over barely cashing. I was shocked to see this total move down to 7.5 after the over cashed last night, considering we’ve got two worse starting pitchers compared to game one. The public is also betting the over once again tonight with over 67% of bets and handle backing the over once again. This reverse line movement is a great sign for under backers with the total dropping from 8 to 7.5 for tonight.
Although both of these offenses are very exciting, this is the postseason. Overs are generally harder to come by, and after last night’s over barely cashing, I’m willing to go back to the under after getting burned. Bet the NRFI, and enjoy this pitchers duel early on in this matchup. Runs will be hard to come by in tonight’s only MLB game.
