We've got two games on the MLB postseason slate tonight!
The Arizona Diamondbacks will look to sneak back into the NLCS, down 2-0 in the series.
Meanwhile, the Astros earned a huge win last night against the Rangers. One more road win, and the series would be tied at 2.
Now that we're in Games 3 and 4, we've got lower-tier pitchers on the bump. How will they perform when it comes to strikeouts?
Here are three strikeout props to consider for tonight's MLB slate.
October 19 Best MLB Strikeout Props
Brandon Pfaadt Over 3.5 Ks (-166) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
I don't think Brandon Pfaadt will have the best of outings tonight. He's allowed a .233 ISO and wOBA of .359 to his last 75 batters.
However, he's still struck out 29.3% of batters when facing those 75 hitters. He'll also take on a Phillies lineup with six batters striking out at least 22.7% of the time against righties.
While Pfaadt might allow some long balls and give up runs, he should also escape some damage with timely strikeouts. He's earned 23.5% of whiffs and 13% swinging strikes in the last 30 days. Those are above-average numbers.
I'll pay the juice and take Pfaadt to get at least four strikeouts.
Ranger Suarez Over 2.5 Ks (-110) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Ranger Suarez isn't a high-strikeout pitcher. However, he's still struck out 23.4% of righties in the last 30 days.
The Diamondbacks have only struck out 14.8% of the time against lefties in the last month using their projected lineup. However, Gabriel Moreno and Evan Longoria are two right-handed bats that should be in the lineup tonight.
Moreano has struck out 27.3% of the time, and Longoria has struck out 33.3% of the time over the last month against lefties.
Suarez has two targets. If he can give the Phillies close to five innings, he should be able to earn three strikeouts. He'll need to fool one batter that doesn't always strike out. That's possible in a high-pressure environment. The Diamondbacks aren't used to being in this position.
Jose Urquidy Under 3.5 Ks (-122) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
It'll be Jose Urquidy for Game 4 of the ALCS. He's a right-handed pitcher, earning just 16.9% of strikeouts in the last month. This season, he only added 17.2% of strikeouts.
Urquidy has allowed a .203 ISO and wOBA of .343 to 297 batters this season. He's struggled against lefties and has allowed a high ISO of .214 to righties.
Don't expect a great outing from Urquidy, especially knowing that the Rangers are hitting a .241 ISO and wOBA of .367 against righties as a projected lineup over the last month.
The Rangers have three batters striking out at 28.4% or higher. However, Adolis Garcia, for example, has struck out 28.4% of the time against righties but has also hit a .410 ISO and wOBA of .437. He's a more significant threat to hit a home run than to strike out against Urquidy.
Take Urquidy's Under.
