As the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers open up their three game series today I couldn't not bet on this game.

Oakland Athletics vs. Detroit Tigers Prediction
Oakland has not scored 7+ runs all year and in Tarik Skubal starts, others teams have scored six or less runs in one straight. Playing in the cold weather and going up against the Tigers' great bullpen, I would be shocked if the Oakland bats get hot.
Skubal against Oakland is a no-brainer. I see his hits allowed is 3.5 and his earned runs allowed is 1.5. Last year he pitched 11 innings against Oakland over two starts and allowed no runs and just two hits, he should have a clean second inning in the home opener.
This is the hard part. Can JP Sears have a clean three outs in the second? The Tigers lineup is out and the four through eight hitters are a lifetime 2-18 against him which makes me feel good.
The total for this game is at 7.5 and the game will be cold so the ball shouldn't carry. Sears had a rough open to the season against Cleveland but Detroit has also had a tough time putting up runs early in games. I think this might be a little sweaty but he gets there for us. Let's roll!
