Best MLB Strikeout Bets: Lock In This Expert's Best MLB Player Prop Bets for Monday

We've got 13 games on the MLB slate tonight! With 26 starters taking the hill, we've found our favorite three strikeout props for tonight's MLB slate.

Let's get right to it!

April 8 Best MLB Strikeout Props

Zach Gallen Over 5.5 Ks (-115) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Through 43 plate appearances this season, Zac Gallen has only struck out 20.9% of batters. This number is due to his lack of strikeouts against lefties, for which he's only added 11.1% of strikeouts against lefties.

However, last year, Gallen added 24.5% of strikeouts and earned the same amount of strikeouts against lefties as righties.

Look for Gallen to get back to his old self against Colorado. He's taking on a Rockies projected lineup that has struck out 26% of the time against righties dating back to last season.

All batters but Charlie Blackmon have struck out at least 22% of the time against righties. That gives Gallen plenty of targets. Take his Over.

Kyle Freeland Under 2.5 Ks (+128) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

In my HR prop article, I wrote that I'm backing Christian Walker and Randal Grichuk to hit home runs against Freeland.

I'm not high on Freeland at all tonight. He's a left-handed thrower who only struck out 13.7% of batters last year.

So far this year, he's struck out just 10% of batters after facing 40 of them.

In addition to the low strikeouts, he's also allowed a .400 ISO and a wOBA of .647. Those numbers won't help Freeland last long on the mound, especially against an Arizona lineup that has hit a .352 wOBA against lefties dating back to last year.

Let's take a plus-money chance on a Freeland fade.

Zach Eflin Over 6.5 Ks (+118) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds

Zach Eflin hasn't started off the year as planned. Against his first 50 batters, he's only earned 20% of strikeouts and has allowed a .234 ISO and wOBA of .326.

However, Eflin is typically good at limiting walks and struck out 26% of batters last season while holding opponents to a .286 wOBA. Eflin should be able to get pretty deep in tonight's game against the Angels.

While the Angels have started stronger than most expected, this projected lineup has still struck out 29% of the time against righties dating back to last season. The Los Angeles lineup has also combined to hit a low .296 wOBA against righties since the previous year.

If Eflin can get through six innings, seven strikeouts are possible. I'll take his Over.
