The Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians finish off a three-game series tonight from Progressive Field. Chicago exploded for five runs in the first inning yesterday, winning 7–5 after getting shut out in the series opener and losing 0–4. These division rivals now decide the series tonight in cool and windy Cleveland. What should we expect tonight?

Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Guardians Prediction
The starting pitcher for the White Sox tonight will be Erick Fedde. Fedde spent multiple seasons in Washington before heading to Chicago this off-season after spending some time in the KBO. Fedde does not have great career numbers in the MLB, but he has looked solid over his first two starts this season. He has given up just three earned runs across his first two starts combined and has a 2.79 ERA over those two starts. While it is a very small sample size, he has had a good start this year and should be able to hold his own against this Guardians lineup that has a few big bats but is not overwhelming.
On the other side, the Guardians are starting one of their best young pictures, Tanner Bibee. Bibee Had a great rookie season, starting 25 games and sporting a 2.98 ERA. It was an impressive rookie season and he is back pitching pretty well to start the year, coming off a 5.1-inning outing giving up just one run against the Twins.
Bibee also gets this start against a pretty banged-up White Sox team. Yoan Moncada got injured in yesterday‘s game and left with a left adductor strain and is not expected to be in today’s game. The day before, Luis Robert suffered a hip injury and is on the IL. A few days prior, Eloy Jimenez had an adductor injury and is still out of the lineup. This already struggling White Sox lineup just has too many injuries to produce any good offense right now, aside from their anomaly five-run inning yesterday.
Both pitchers should hold their own in this game, and on top of it, the weather is cold and windy in Cleveland. The game-time forecast says it will be about 56° with overcast skies and the wind blowing in from the outfield at about 5 mph. This is perfect conditions for a pitcher to have a great game, as the bats should be cold. With all that said, the total is 7.5 today and I still think it goes under. This total is this low for a reason and run should be hard to come by in this series closer tonight.
