To kick off our Wednesday, I want to head to the west coast as the Washington Nationals (5-6) visit the San Francisco Giants (4-8) for the final game of this three game series at Oracle Park. The Nationals have surprised the Giants thus far taking the first two games of the series, and now the Giants will be looking to avoid the sweep here at home.

Washington Nationals vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction
Patrick Corbin Day! I hate to pick on the guy, but he is the most consistent fade for me in the MLB. With him kicking off the 2024 campaign in similar fashion to how he was the last two years, I am going to ride the wave. No starter in National League has recorded more losses in the last three years, and he is off to a similar start here. Corbin is sporting a 6.97 ERA through 10.1 IP thus far this season and has historically struggled against this Giants lineup. As a team, they are slashing .306/.354/.537 on 108 at bats against Corbin. Austin Slater, Michael Conforto, Nick Ahmed and Tom Murphy all have an OPS north of 1.000 against him.
Jordan Hicks has the ball for the Giants and he has allowed just one earned run so far on the season. It sucks to drop a series to a team like the Nationals, but you can't let the whole series get away. Salvaging one game and taking some momentum into the next series is a step they will be looking to take here.
