Astros Yordan Alvarez Bat Drop

MLB Parlay Pick Today: Thursday's MLB Hit Parlay from Calling Our Shot

Calling Our Shot is back for their favorite two-leg hit parlay for Thursday, April 11th. We've hit two straight. Today, we aim for three straight winners!

MLB PARLAY PICK TODAY: THURSDAY'S MLB HIT PARLAY FROM CALLING OUR SHOT

Welcome back to the daily Hit Parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. The last two parlays have cashed, but with an asterisk as each parlay has seen one leg voided. Either way, you built up your bankroll a little bit. Let's hope these two players play today!

THURSDAY'S HIT PARLAY

LEG 1: YORDAN ALVAREZ (HOU TO RECORD A HIT

Our first leg of this hit parlay: Yordan Alvarez. Yordan is back for more. Yesterday, he was the one leg of the parlay that played and he delivered a hit. Today, we ask him to do the same, once again back in Kansas City facing the Royals.

Yordan is still scorching hot right now with a hit in seven out of his last eight games. Yordan is coming off a game yesterday where he had a hit despite getting pinch hit for. Today, he faces Brady Singer. Against Singer, Alvarez is 2-9 batting .222. On the season, Alvarez has a scorching .346 batting average. Alvarez bats in a lineup where you can’t afford to pitch around him. Yordan is on a mission to get the Astros back on track and he will do so with a hit today.

LEG 2: RYAN MOUNTCASTLE (BAL) TO RECORD A HIT

Our second leg of this hit parlay: Ryan Mountcastle. Ryan is a friend of the program, so I know he has our back. In addition to that, he's been putting the Orioles offense on his back too.

Ryan is batting .302 on the season. He has six hits in his last three games, including two yesterday (plus a walk drawn). He will face Garrett Whitlock today. He's 3 for 9 lifetime (.333) against Whitlock. Typically, you'd want to back a lefty against the right handed Whitlock, however, that's not how it's worked this season against Garrett.

Whitlock is allowing a .118 batting average to left handed batters this season, as opposed to .294 to righties. Small sample size obviously, but last year, same result: righties had .309, lefties only .260. I trust Ryan to put the ball in play and get us a hit to cash the daily parlay.
