Friday night’s contest between the Los Angeles Angels and Boston Red Sox is projected to be one of those games. Let’s dive into one of my favorite plays on this loaded MLB slate…

Did you have Reid Detmers and/or Tanner Houck throwing gems in each of their first two starts this season on your bingo card? I certainly didn’t, and I’m expecting some regression from both of these arms tonight. With the total on the rise, you’re going to want to lock in the over before it gets any higher.
The Red Sox are finally starting to come back down to Earth after a great first week of the season. They’ve lost four of their last five games, but the offense hasn’t been the issue. Their bullpen is finally starting to show its true colors, giving up runs like it’s their job over the last week. Mike Trout and the Angels will have great matchups for this entire game even when Houck gets pulled.
If Detmers and Houck were going to follow up their elite starts to the season with another gem tonight, the total wouldn’t be on the rise with less than 35% of the bets (on VSIN) currently backing this over. There hasn’t been enough action this over to raise the total, meaning the movement has to be sharp. Lock this in before we see o/u 9.5 totals start to pop up on the books…
Rumor has it there will be winds blowing out to left field at 20mph tonight. Both of these lineups are riddled with power hitters… if they are able to put a couple baseballs up in that wind tunnel over the Green Monster, this game will soar over by the 5th inning. Both starting pitchers are getting disrespected by the books on their props for tonight, indicating there’s some regression on the way. Lock in this over; I’ll meet you at the cash counter.
