There are plenty of strikeout props to choose from tonight! We've got 15 games on tonight's MLB slate, with many intriguing matchups to look through.
I've narrowed down my choices to my favorite three strikeout prop bets for the night. Follow along below.
April 13 Best MLB Strikeout Props
Kyle Gibson Under 4.5 Ks (-128) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
The Cardinals will pitch Kyle Gibson for tonight's game against Arizona. Gibson has only struck out 17.6% of batters to begin the year. He's also allowed a .312 ISO and wOBA of .349 to 51 batters this season.
Gibson might improve his numbers with balls in play. He's added 51.3% of ground balls and has given up just 17.9% of line drives. However, his ERA is still stuck at 6.23.
But even if Gibson has a better game against Arizona, it's unlikely he will rack up strikeouts. The Diamondbacks have six batters in the projected lineup that have struck out below 21.5% of the time since last season against righties.
Gibson really only has a few targets, if that, who strike out at a high rate against righties. I'll take Gibson to go Under 4.5 Ks. Asking for five is a lot.
Matt Waldron Over 3.5 Ks (-166) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
I'll pay the juice and fade the Dodgers here.
Matt Waldron has already struck out 27.9% of batters. He's also limited heavy damage by giving up just 4.7% of walks to begin the season.
He's struggled a little against righties, giving up a .238 ISO and woBA of .348. But he's done well against lefties, holding team to a .050 ISO. The Los Angeles righties have combined to hit a .175 ISO, while lefties have hit a .229 ISO.
Ultimately, righties have struggled more against righties in the Dodgers lineup. That favors Waldron, who has done well against lefties to begin the year.
That said, the Dodgers have also struck out 25.2% of the time against righties since last year using their projected lineup. There are six batters who have struck out at least 24% of the time against righties and five batters who have struck out at least 28.7% of the time.
That's enough targets for Waldron to earn four strikeouts.
Shota Imanaga Over 6.5 Ks (+124) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Shota Imanaga has struck out 34.3% of batters to begin the season. He's also held teams to 0 walks and a .000 ISO with a wOBA of .102.
Imanaga doesn't earn ground balls much but has really only allowed fly balls that haven't necessarily been line drives.
None of this really matters. Imanaga is a strikeout thrower who will face a Mariners projected lineup with five batters who have struck out at least 23.1% of the time against lefties. On top of that, the Mariners have only hit a .151 ISO against lefties since last year and don't have many power threats other than Julio Rodrigeuz and Dylan Moore.
Imanaga could potentially go six innings tonight. If he does that, we'll likely be cashing in on a +124 strikeout prop if he does that.
