Miami Marlins vs. Oakland Athletics Prediction
Joe Boyle has struggled at times this year, but he’s coming off his best start of the season against the Pirates last week. I like his chances against the struggling Marlins on Sunday afternoon. After trading Luis Arraez and their GM saying “they probably aren’t making the playoffs,” I don’t see Miami waking up against the surging A’s on the road.
Yesterday’s game was a blowout mainly caused by the wind, but the A’s were the only team to really take advantage of it. They outscored Miami 20-4 yesterday, and the A’s have brought the energy all season seemingly playing for a bigger purpose. This team can feel the pain from the fans with them moving away from Oakland soon, and the A’s are playing some inspired baseball at home this season. I don’t see anything changing with Sixto Sanchez on the bump for Miami on Sunday…
Once a top prospect for the Marlins, Sixto Sanchez has struggled mightily in the major leagues. He got rocked for five runs against the Rockies, one of the worst teams in baseball, in his last start. Expect Oakland’s bats to show up once again against the struggling Marlins starter. Fade the fish and back Oakland on their win streak; there’s something special about this team.
