The pitching matchup will be Logan Webb starting for the Giants and Taijuan Walker starting for the Phillies. Walker has only started one game this season, a 6.1-inning outing allowing six earned runs against the Padres. He will be looking to bounce back today against the Giants.
Logan will be starting on the mound tonight and has had a very good start to the season. He has a 2.98 ERA over his first seven appearances, and has 30 strikeouts as well. However, I am fading him tonight and taking a Bryce Harper prop I love. The prop I’m looking at for Bryce Harper is over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs at -130 on DraftKings. Logan Webb has had a very good start to the season, but his underlying metrics imply that he should expect some regression. He has a .306 expected batting average and has given up 45.5% hard contact. His ERA has not caught up to his underlying metrics, and lefty hitters like Bryce Harper can take advantage tonight.
Lefty batters are hitting .305 against Logan Webb this season so far, while righties are hitting .244. Webb has only given up two extra-base hits in 82 at-bats against right-handed batters but has given up seven extra-base hits in 82 at-bats to left-handed batters.
