The Mets will pitch Tylor Megill for tonight's opener against the Cleveland Guardians. Megill has only faced 18 batters this season. Against those 18 batters, he's struck out 22.2% but walked 16.7%.
Last season, against 568 batters, Megill added 18.5% of strikeouts and allowed a .158 ISO and wOBA of .355 with 10.2% of walks.
Tonight, he'll face a Guardians lineup that has only struck out 18% of the time. There are six batters in the lineup that have literally struck out below 16% against righties this season.
That gives Megill only three targets in the entire lineup. But it's unlikely he racks up strikeouts against all three targets. Let's back the Under for Megill in his return to the big league mound.

Joe Ross will make another start for the Brewers. He's a righty who has added only 19.2% of strikeouts this season.
Ross has done well limiting walks and has held teams to a .130 ISO and wOBA of .308. But he's facing a Marlins projected lineup that has only struck out 19.6% of the time.
In the lineup, he's facing just two batters with strikeout rates of more than 22.3% against righties. That ultimately gives Ross just two high-strikeout targets against the Marlins tonight.
Those two batters are Bryan De La Cruz and Jake Burger. However, De La Cruz has a .238 ISO and wOBA of .342, and Burger has a respectable .172 ISO. Both can do damage against Ross, too. I'll ride the Under here.

Taj Bradley has earned 29.5% of strikeouts to begin the season. He's also held teams to a .103 ISO and wOBA of .261, thanks to allowing just 6.8% of walks.
That said, he'll take on a Boston projected lineup that has struck out nearly 25% of the time against righties. In the lineup, there are six targets with high strikeouts against righties. However, there are still eight targets in the projected lineup that have struck out more than 20.5% of the time against righties.
