Detroit Tigers vs. Kanas City Royals Prediction
I’ve been waiting for my opportunity to fade Reese Olson during his legacy run for a while now, and tonight might be the perfect opportunity to strike. He’s coming off his best start of the season yet, but the Royals are coming off a great offensive series against the A’s. They’ve won seven of their last 10 games, and should feel very confident as a fellow AL Central squad heads into town.
Michael Wacha struggled mightily earlier in the season, but he’s coming off back to back gems against the Angels and Mariners in his last two outings. I like his chances against a young Tigers team that’s lost six of their last 10 games. Buy-low on Wacha who is in line for another great night at home on Monday.
Reese Olson barely made the starting rotation at the beginning of the season, and now he’s been one of the biggest surprises in Major League Baseball this year. Can we expect his successes to continue? Oddsmakers certainly aren’t, making them an underdog against a starting pitcher with more than twice as bad of an ERA. The Royals have been on fire, and I don’t see them cooling off anytime soon. Continue to back Kansas City at home, where they are 18-8, and as favorites, where they are 14-4 on the season.
