This is heavily juiced but it’s a good one. This game has a low total of 7.5 and it's for very good reason. Both pitchers have had great starts to the year and I have no reason to believe that either are flukes given their history.
San Diego Padres vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction
We get to likely avoid the heavy hitters in Ronald Acuna, Marcell Ozuna, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Luis Arraez which will be nice. Both of these middle to end of orders are mediocre at best history against the pitcher they will be facing off with so I’m expecting this one to be relatively easy if we prevent the long ball.
The Braves bats are a lifetime 5-25 and if you get rid of Acuna that turns into 4-24 which is just a .166 average. Dylan Cease has a 1.38 road ERA over five starts this year and is on the road here. Reynalso Lopez is at home where he holds a 0.77 home ERA over four starts. If you exclude Arraez, the Padres are hitting just 7-32 against Lopez which is just .218. I think both pitchers fight for us today and we have a scoreless second inning. Let's roll!
