I love the spot and matchup today for Yandy Diaz. He got the day off yesterday and ended up pinch hitting instead, going 0-for-2 with two balls hit with 100 MPH and 95.6 MPH exit velocity. Diaz should start today and is playing very well in the month of May. He is hitting .333 since May 3rd with eight multi-hit games over that span.
He will see Brayan Bello today who he has had tons of success against over the last two seasons. Yandy has gone 2-for-3, 2-for-2, and 1-for-2, hitting .714 vs. Bello in three career matchups. I expect similar success today, and I think he continues hitting Bello well here.
He is also hitting very well at home this season with a .308 average and multi-hit games in eight of his last 15 starts there. I like him for multiple hits today.
