I really like the spot today for Bobby Witt Jr. against the Tampa Bay Rays. It sounds like Shawn Armstrong will be the opener so he will throw the first inning and then Tyler Alexander will be the bulk reliever.

Bobby has been very hot lately with 2+ bases in five of his last six games with seven extra base hits and two home runs. Alexander ranks in the third percentile in barrels allowed and has allowed a .282 average and .295 ISO at home against righties this season. Additionally, he owns a 2.82 home run/nine rate against righties at home this season.

Witt has great history against Tyler Alexander as he is three for his last four with a walk and double against him. He has played great against Tampa Bay going for 2+ bases in eight of his last ten matchups. With it being a road game, I expect 5+ plate appearances for Bobby and when he gets that he has 2+ bases in 13 of 18 games this season.

Additionally, the Rays bullpen has not been great. They lead the league in home runs allowed and are ninth in ERA allowed.
