Houston Astros vs. Oakland Athletics Prediction
I am going to be targeting the Astros left-handed slugger Yordan Alvarez on Sunday in Oakland. Aaron Brooks is on the mound for the Athletics and I think he is a great matchup for Yordan.
With it being a road game, Yordan has an increased chance at 5+ plate appearances. When he has had 5+ plate appearances he has gone for 2+ bases in six straight games.
Brooks’ top three pitches to lefties are his 4-seam fastball, slider, and changeup which are three pitches Yordan has crushed historically. He is also swinging a hot bat going for 2+ bases in five of his last six games with five total extra base hits.
Seven of his last eight batted balls have been hit over 94.8 MPH exit velocity and his launch angles have been great. I think there’s a great chance we see him leave the yard today, but at the very least, expect him to clear his 2+ total bases prop.
