Seattle Mariners vs. Washington Nationals Prediction
The Nationals stole the first two games of this series at home against the Mariners with some really solid pitching. Luckily for Seattle, they will get to face Patrick Corbin in the last game of this series. The right-handed veteran just gave up eight earned runs in six innings of work in his last start at Nationals Park. If the Mariners can’t get to Corbin on Sunday, they’re going to need to go back to the drawing board…
Seattle held a team meeting after losing the first game of this series to the Nationals. They proceeded to lose game two yesterday. I’m expecting Seattle’s bats to show up on Sunday against one of the worst pitchers in Major League Baseball on Sunday, salvaging the series before heading back home for a series against the Astros.
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction
Ranger Suarez has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, and after the Phillies dropped game one against the Rockies they bounced back nicely on Saturday with eight runs. They will get a chance to replicate that success in the final game of the series on Sunday against Cal Quantrill, who’s been sneaky-good of late but is bound to struggle against the best offense in baseball at Coors Field.
As the Braves continue to struggle, the Phillies continue to win games. They’ve won 8 of their last 10, and seem to have the most consistent, best offense in baseball. I don’t see them losing to Cal Quantrill on Sunday… they already dropped game one of this series and will be on their toes against the sneaky Rockies. Back Suarez to shove once again and bring home a win for the Phillies in the last game of the series.
