Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. It's Friday. The final day of the business week. We've hit three straight parlays of the day. Let's hit a fourth straight on this beautiful Friday! Let's rock and roll.
FRIDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: KETEL MARTE (ARI) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Ketel Marte. Yesterday, I backed Marte (in a separate parlay) and he delivered. Today, I ask him to do the same against Taijuan Walker. Walker has three A’s in his name, and if we’re being honest, that’s where he belongs (in Triple A).
Taijuan Walker is allowing a .327 Batting Average to Lefties (Ketel is a switch hitter and will bat lefty today). Ketel will have plenty of pitches to hit today, plus batting leadoff, I expect a plethora of baserunners on Walker, so there’s a good chance Marte gets 5+ Plate Appearances. If he can’t get a hit in five PAs, he might need to hang it up.
LEG 2: GUNNAR HENDERSON (BAL) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Gunnar Henderson. Gunnar and the Orioles travel to Houston to face Jake Bloss and the Astros. While Bloss is making his major league debut, he is due to get rocked by a red hot Orioles team.
A case could be made that Gunnar is the Orioles’ hottest hitter hitting .333 this month. Gunnar is currently on a 13 game hit streak and is hitting .339 during that span. Batting in the leadoff spot and on the road, Gunnar is in a great spot to extend the hit streak and cash the first leg of this hit parlay.
