5 minBest Bets Today: Friday's MLB Hit Parlay from Calling Our Shot
Welcome to the daily hit parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. It's Friday. The final day of the business week. It’s time to finish the week strong cashing another parlay!
FRIDAY'S HIT PARLAY
LEG 1: TREA TURNER (PHI) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the hit parlay: Trea Turner. Trea faces off against the Braves in Atlanta today. We love his matchup against the lefty Max Fried.
Against Max Fried, Trea is a career 15-39 (.385). It’s safe to say he sees his pitches well. Trea also has high sprint speed to be able to beat out infield singles, and that’s important against a pitcher like Fried. Trea is seeing the ball extremely well right now, with nine hits in his last four games. Batting in the 2-spot and with a full nine innings of at bats, we have to trust our COS Hall of Famer to end the week!
LEG 2: KETEL MARTE (ARI) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the hit parlay: Ketel Marte. Marte travels to San Diego to face Randy Vasquez and the Padres. Logan and I will be at this game, and while we hate rooting for a Diamondback, we have to acknowledge how bad Randy has been.
This season, Vasquez is allowing a .449 batting average to lefties. Ketel, a switch hitter, will bat lefty tonight. They’ve seen each other before, Ketel is 1-for-3 lifetime against Vasquez. He will have a guaranteed nine innings of at bats. I trust Ketel to deliver us a winner.
