5 minBest Bets Today: Friday's MLB Parlay from Calling Our Shot
Welcome to the daily parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. We've had the week off due to the All-Star Break. Today, we are bringing the Parlay of the Day back. Typically, it's a 2-Leg Hit Parlay, but today, we are spicing things up. Find out how below!
FRIDAY'S PARLAY
LEG 1: MICHAEL WACHA (KC) UNDER 2.5 EARNED RUNS
Our first leg of the Parlay: Michael Wacha to allow two earned runs or less. The books keep flipping his line between 1.5 and 2.5, obviously prefer the 2.5 much more. If you only have 1.5, I’d wait to see if things move, or go over to ESPN Bet where they tend to offer more alt-lines for Earned Runs Props.
Wacha faces the White Sox, a lineup I am not afraid of. Chicago is dead last in wRC+ vs. Right-Handed Pitchers in July. They faced Wacha twice in April, and he threw 13 total innings, allowing only two ER. He’s UNDER in eight of his last nine starts. I like him to hold things down.
LEG 2: HUNTER BROWN (HOU) UNDER 2.5 EARNED RUNS
Our second leg of the Parlay: Hunter Brown to allow two Earned Runs or less. Yes, we have two Earned Run Props here. Switching things up since the Hit Parlays were cold last week, and the hitters had several days off, so I expect some rust (especially first game back).
I spoke about how bad the White Sox were against RHP, well the Mariners (who Brown faces tonight) aren’t much better. In July, they have the 5th lowest wRC+ vs. RHP, as well as the lowest BA vs. RHP too. After a rocky start to the year, Brown has pitched well, going under 2.5 Earned Runs in six of his last seven starts. Let’s hope he stays locked in tonight.
