We have a loaded Friday MLB slate today and I am back with another parlay that I am really loving for it. Today, we are going to lock in another hit parlay, this time the two players I am going to target are Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros and Xavier Edwards of the Miami Marlins. Both hitters have been hitting the ball well as of late and I think they will deliver for us here today and help us cash another hit parlay!
August 9th MLB Prop Picks
Yordan Alvarez will be the first leg of the parlay. He will get a matchup with Red Sox righty, Tanner Houck who is having a great year, but has allowed a lot of hits over the past three starts, with 23 hits allowed. Yordan has been swinging a hot bat going for 1+ hit in seven of his last nine games. With this being a road game, Yordan is likely to see five or more plate appearances which gives us a better chance at cashing on his hit prop. Additionally, he has played extremely well away from home with a hit in six of his last seven games.
Xavier Edwards burned us for the first time in our last parlay, but I expect him to bounce back for us and continue hitting how he has been over the past few weeks. He's been on fire with 1+ hit in 10 of the last 11 games and 2+ hits in five of the last seven games. He will see another lefty today in Martin Perez. Edwards has been hitting well vs. lefties, as he has accumulated a .367 batting average against them this season. This guy has just stepped up in a big way for the Marlins with the departures of Luis Arraez and Jazz Chisholm, and I will continue to back him as it feels like books aren't adjusting for how he is playing.
