Best Bets Today: Wednesday's MLB Parlay from Calling Our Shot

Welcome to the daily parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. We've now cashed two straight parlays. It's time to lock in and cash a third straight! Find it below.

WEDNESDAY'S MLB PARLAY

LEG 1: Athletics & Mets Both Teams to Score 1+ Runs in the First 5 Innings

Our first leg of the Parlay: Athletics and Mets Both Teams to score 1+ Runs First 5 Innings. In order for this leg of the parlay to cash, we just need each team to have a run on the board by the end of the 5th inning.

The A’s face off against the lefty David Peterson today. Peterson has given up a run in the first 5 in 11 of 12 starts. Athletics have scored 2+ Runs on nine straight Lefty Starters. We also need a run from the Mets who have a great matchup against Joey Estes and the A’s. Estes has a ridiculous 7.40 ERA on the road and the Mets need to capitalize on that. All we need is the Mets to get one off Estes and it’s likely to happen considering his struggles on the road.

LEG 2: Dodgers & Brewers Both Teams to Score 1+ Runs in the First 5 Innings

Our second leg of the Parlay: Dodgers and Brewers Both Teams to score 1+ Runs First 5 Innings. We return to the scene of one of parlay legs yesterday that cashed with relative ease. The Dodgers scored seven in the First 5, the Brewers got us the bare minimum with one. Today, I love the matchups for each offenses.

Frankie Montas starts for the Brewers. His 5.10 ERA is great for us. He’s allowed a run in 14 of his last 15 starts, including 3+ ER in five straight starts. He will face a Dodgers lineup that is starting to figure it out. They will score vs. him. We also need the Brewers to score vs. Walker Buehler. Buehler returns from the IL. He didn’t pitch well in his rehab starts in the Minors. I don’t expect him to magically figure it out vs. a Brewers lineup that makes Right Handers pay. Yesterday, Gavin Stone escaped trouble plenty of times. Let’s see if Buehler can do the same. Buehler is allowing a .353 BA with RISP. That’s good enough for me. Count me in.
