Welcome to the daily parlay, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. Yesterday, we lost thanks to the Athletics not scoring in the First 5 Innings. Add insult to injury, they scored in the 6th. Can't do anything about that. Let's dive into a short slate parlay.
THURSDAY'S MLB PARLAY
LEG 1: Trea Turner to Record A Hit & Phillies +0.5 First 5 Innings
Our first leg of the Parlay is an interesting one. We need Trea Turner to Record a Hit, but we also need the Phillies to be tied or leading after 5 Innings.
Trea was once a Washington National and he makes them pay when he faces his old team. Against the Nationals, Trea is hitting .281 in his career. He has a hit in two of three games against them this season and faces the lefty Mitchell Parker. Parker doesn’t miss a lot of bats and is coming off an eight-hits allowed game against the Angels. At home and against lefties, Trea is hitting a ridiculous .340 this season. As for the Phillies to cover this +0.5 First 5, I love Zack Wheeler being on the mound. He's been dominant. I also love the Phillies bats besides Trea to get things going against Parker. A tie through 5 is a win for us. Make it 0-0 for all I care.
LEG 2: Red Sox and Orioles Both to Score 2+ Runs
Our second leg of the Parlay: Red Sox and Orioles Both to Score 2+ Runs. On some sportsbooks, they'll give you a 'Both to Score 2+ Runs' Market. On other books, like FanDuel, you'll just have to Same Game Parlay each team OVER 1.5 Runs.
While I do love the First 5 UNDER 4.5 in this game, I'm not a fool. I'm not getting a sweat-free winner there. There will be runs scored. Additionally, even if there aren't, these 2 bullpens are putrid. Both bottom-three in ERA the last two weeks. There will be plenty of run opportunities late in this game. I love this combination play here.
