Wednesday's MLB Parlay: MLB Best Bets from A's vs. Astros and More
Welcome to the MLB Parlay of the Day, brought to you by Calling Our Shot. These have gone ice cold the last week...which means we are due. That's how betting works. Before you put in your MLB picks for the day, lock in this parlay and tail us back into the green.
WEDNESDAY'S MLB PARLAY
LEG 1: Athletics Team Total UNDER 4.5
Our first leg of the Wednesday's MLB parlay: Athletics Team Total UNDER 4.5. Tonight, we are fading the Athletics back in Houston against the Astros. The Athletics have been one of the worst road teams in the MLB, and it's not getting better today against Hunter Brown.
Brown had a 1.45 ERA in 5 starts in August. He carried that over into September with 6 scoreless against the Reds. He's elite at minimizing hard contact (98th Percentile in Hard Hit % and 94th in Barrel %). When the Athletics score, it's typically all hard contact, which Brown should be able to neutralize. Behind Brown is a very solid Astros bullpen. Teams are UNDER 4.5 Team Total Runs in 17 of his last 20 starts. I trust Brown and the Bullpen to hold this Athletics lineup in check.
LEG 2: Bryan Woo (SEA) OVER 17.5 Outs
Our second leg of the Parlay: Bryan Woo over 17.5 outs. We need Bryan Woo to go 6 innings for this leg to cash. Woo faces off against the Padres at home in Seattle.
We saw the Padres bats come to life last night against George Kirby, but tonight they will be shut down by Bryan Woo. Woo has gone over this line in 6 of his last 7 starts. The hit rate is there for Woo who throws constant strikes and has efficient outings. Woo has gone 3 straight starts without allowing a walk. Even though the Padres offense is potent, Woo is just too good at home not to back in this spot. At home, Woo has a ridiculous 1.50 ERA this season. All we need is 6 innings, Bryan!
Good luck everyone. Let's get back in the winning column!
