FRIDAY'S MLB PARLAY
LEG 1: GERRIT COLE (NYY) OVER 17.5 OUTS
Our first leg of the Parlay: Gerrit Cole OVER 17.5 Outs. For this leg to cash, we need a strong six innings of work from the Yankees ace.
Gerritt Cole has pitched into the 6th inning in nine of his last 11 starts. The Athletics are 28th in walk rate over the last 14 days. That low walk rate will benefit Cole as he’s a pitcher who relies on getting hitters to chase outside of the zone. Not walking will also help Cole’s pitch count stay low and get him deep into this game. Cole’s last outing was a terrible start against the Red Sox. He’s out to bounce back against a mediocre Athletics lineup tonight.
LEG 2: WHITE SOX & PADRES UNDER 5.5 FIRST 5
Our second leg of the Parlay: White Sox and Padres First 5 UNDER 5.5. We need five or less runs in the First 5 Innings of the White Sox & Padres Game Tonight. Simple as that. I also like this at 4.5 too!
Joe Musgrove starts for the Padres. Since his return from the IL, he's pitched in seven games. He's allowed 0 or 1 ER in five of those seven starts. The other two: 6 & 3 ER. This is the White Sox Offense. We need a good start, Joe. Garrett Crochet starts for the White Sox. Crochet owns a 3.78 ERA this season. He's been pretty clear he wants to get paid this offseason. Well...one of the teams that is aggressive in their pursuit of star players is the Padres. He needs to pitch well here to put on a good show in front of their management. Additionally, the Padres are 26th in Batting Average vs. Lefties this month. Just no implosions from either of these two pitchers and we are in the clear!
