LEG 1: TREA TURNER (PHI) TO RECORD A HIT
Our first leg of the Parlay: Trea Turner to record a hit. Last night, Trea Turner went 0-4. He hit a ball 106 MPH but sadly, it was still an out. If we can get similar contact tonight, I'm confident it drops in a great matchup.
Javier Assad will start for the Cubs against Turner and the Phillies. Assad focuses heavily on throwing Sinkers & Cutters, 2 pitches that Trea Turner destroys. They've faced each other twice in their careers and Trea is 0-2. That ends tonight. Trea also rarely walks, which is great, because we don't pay him to walk tonight. Love trusting one of our GOATs at home.
LEG 2: SHOHEI OHTANI (LAD) TO RECORD A HIT
Our second leg of the Parlay: Shohei Ohtani to record a hit. Ohtani cashed for us in his first at-bat last night and we’re trusting him once again. Ohtani and the Dodgers take on the Padres tonight.
Ohtani is staying red hot at the plate with a hit in 7 straight games. During that span he’s hitting a ridiculous .548 batting average. Ohtani will face Dylan Cease. Against Cease, Ohtani is hitting .231 in his career. He’s seeing the ball well right now and there’s no reason to think Cease won’t give him pitches to hit. Batting leadoff and in a game the Dodgers need, Ohtani will cash this leg for us again tonight.
