Detroit Tigers vs. Houston Astros Prediction, Betting Pick and Latest Odds

The Detroit Tigers and the Houston Astros meet from Space City on Tuesday afternoon to kick off the 2024 postseason in Game 1 of the AL Wild Card Series.

The Tigers' participation in a playoff game is somewhat of a miracle as Detroit had a 0.4 percent chance of making the playoffs entering September. 30 days later, they have defeated the odds everyone in their path and the odds to be playing in October.

Today will be the first playoff game for Detroit since 2014.

Tigers Head Coach A.J. Hinch will attempt to take down the franchise he coached to a World Championship, the Houston Astros.

Houston claimed another AL West Championship in 2024. The Astros have won the AL West in seven of the last eight years. Houston will also be making their eighth consecutive playoff appearance.

This roster brings a wealth of playoff experience and has enough talent to go on to another World Series.

The Astros beat Detroit in four of the six regular-season meetings.

While The Tigers have been a terrific story, Cinderella will stop dancing in this series.
