New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians ALCS Game 4 Odds
The New York Yankees come into this one favored at -118 odds, having been favored in all four games. They coasted as heavy favorites in Game 1 and 2, but let yesterday slip away after closing at -112. The public has been riding New York in all four games, and they have 74% of the bets on the Bronx Bombers again tonight. The total sits at 7.5, with 87% of bets on the over after yesterday's slug fest.
New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians ALCS Game 4 Prediction
The Guardians were behind 1-0 early in the game when Kyle Manzardo launched a two-run home run to take the lead. Later in the game, the Guardians added a run on an Andres Gimenez single.
Cleveland took that 3-1 lead into the eighth inning, when future AL MVP Aaron Judge stepped to the plate with two outs and one runner on base.
The Guardians called on Emmanuel Clase for a four-out save. Clase was the best closer in baseball during the regular season, allowing six earned runs all year. Judge did not care about how good Clase had been, as he launched a two-run home run to the opposite field to even the score at three.
The home run silenced the Cleveland faithful as DH Giancarlo Stanton stepped to the plate. Stanton connected for a 390-foot home run, giving the Yankees a 4-3 lead and leaving the Progressive Field crowd stunned. New York added a run in the top of the ninth inning to take a 5-3 lead into the bottom frame.
Christmas came early for the Guardians as Jhonkensey Noel, aka Big Christmas, delivered the biggest swing of his career, launching a game-tying two-out home run into the Cleveland sky. David Fry continued his heroic postseason, blasting a walk-off home run in the bottom of the tenth inning.
Tonight, the Yankees will give the rock to Luis Gill. Gil went 15-7 with a 3.50 ERA.
The Guardians will turn to Gavin Williams. Williams went 3-10 with an ERA of 4.86.
