5 minBraves vs. Dodgers Same-Game Parlay: Will Dodgers Stay Undefeated Against Winless Braves?
The undefeated Los Angeles Dodgers host the winless Atlanta Braves on Wednesday night, so we're going to construct a two-leg Braves vs. Dodgers Same-Game Parlay with the latest odds. Los Angeles pitcher Blake Snell makes his second start of the season for the Dodgers, while Bryce Elder make his debut on the mound for the Braves.
Snell was a massive offseason acquisition by the Dodgers following his dominant 2024 campaign. He pitched 5.0 innings against Detroit on March 27th, finishing with five hits, two earned runs, four walks, and two strikeouts on 92 pitches. Los Angeles went on to beat the Tigers 5-4.
The Braves are desperate for a win after a tough opening schedule that sent them on the road to play the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers. Elder went 4-6 as a starter for Atlanta in 2024 with a 6.52 ERA. Lack of offense has been the main issue for Atlanta's lineup so far and it won't get any easier against Snell on Wednesday night.

ATLANTA BRAVES VS. LOS ANGELES DODGERS SAME-GAME PARLAY
LEG 1: LOS ANGELES DODGERS MONEYLINE (-235)
We're going to start this MLB Same-Game Parlay by backing the Los Angeles Dodgers on the moneyline. At some point, the Dodgers will lose a game. It's unlikely to happen at home against Bryce Elder on Wednesday night.
Los Angeles has beat Atlanta in four straight head-to-head matchups. None of these games were remotely competitive, with the Dodgers winning by multiple runs. The Braves benefitted from an error on Tuesday night, scoring the only run in the first five innings to take a 1-0 lead into the 6th inning.
The Dodgers put up three runs in the 6th inning, including a Mookie Betts two-run homer, to seize the lead and take any momentum away from Atlanta. The Braves' struggling offense will face Snell, a left-handed pitcher who will challenge their cold bats.
We're going to take the Dodgers full-game moneyline at -235 odds. Elder's 6.25 ERA is going to present a lot of early scoring opportunities for Los Angeles, which will put pressure on the Braves' anemic offense. Snell should have a quality outing against Atlanta. The Braves have the league's third-highest strikeouts per game rate, averaging 10.67 in their last three outings.
LEG 2: UNDER 9.5 TOTAL RUNS (-192)
Under 9.5 total runs is the second leg of our MLB SGP at -192 odds. This gets us into plus-odds value and it shouldn't be too challenging based on Atlanta's lack of production on offense.
Snell allowed two runs to Detroit in five innings in his lone start for the Dodgers this season. The Tigers appear to be a much better team than Atlanta thus far, so I'd expect two or fewer runs allowed by Los Angeles through the first five to six innings on Wednesday night.
Elder is the X-factor in this handicap. Last season, he gave up seven hits and seven earned runs, including three home runs, through only 3.1 innings pitched. Toward the end of 2024, Elder held three of his last five opponents to two or fewer runs, although the other two games saw him give up six runs to St. Louis and seven runs to Milwaukee.
The Dodgers are a great defensive team, so Atlanta's bats should remain stuck in neutral. Los Angeles has gone under 9.5 total runs in five of seven games this season. One of these games went into extra innings, where the Dodgers and Tigers combined for seven runs after ending regulation tied 3-3.
Let's buy a couple of runs and insert under 9.5 total runs as the second leg of this MLB Same-Game Parlay for Wednesday's game between the Braves and Dodgers.
