April 9 Best MLB Home Run Props
Rafael Devers to Hit a Home Run (+460) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Rafael Devers certainly started off the season slowly. Yet, he's hit a .207 ISO and wOBA of .371 against righties up to this point of the season. That's not so bad!
If you add last year's stats, Devers has hit a .300 ISO and wOBA of .406 against right-handed batters using over 400 plate apperances.
Meanwhile, he'll take on Kevin Gausman of the Toronto Blue Jays. Gausman has faced 20 lefties this season. Those 20 lefties have smashed a .235 ISO and wOBA of .361 with 15% of walks and just 10% of strikeouts. Gausman is clearly falling behind lefties and has allowed 40% of hard contact with 33.% of fly balls to lefties this season.
Take Devers to go deep.
Mike Trout to Hit a Home Run (+350) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
The Rays will send out Ryan Pepiot for tonight's game against the Angels. Pepiot has really struggled against righties to start the season.
He's given up a .182 ISO and wOBA of .342 with only 15.4% of strikeouts and 11.5% of walks. Beyond that, he's allowed 26.3% of line drive contact to righties this season.
Unfortunately for Pepiot, he'll face one of the best right-handed batters in the game, Mike Trout. Trout has hit a .358 ISO and wOBA of .383 over his last 140 plate apperances against righties dating back to last season.
Trout has also hit 39.8% of fly balls and only 24.7% of ground balls against those last 140 righties. Trout is in a good spot to hit another dinger tonight.
Marcell Ozuna to Hit a Home Run (+450) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Marcell Ozuna was robbed of a home run yesterday. Tonight, I think he pulls through.
Ozuna has hit a .261 ISO and wOBA of .401 against the last 552 righties he faced. He's also added a .190 ISO and wOBA of .420 against his first 28 right-handed pitchers this season.
Meanwhile, he'll battle Taijuan Walker of the Phillies. Walker looked excellent in his first start, holding 22 batters to a .100 ISO and wOBA of .219. However, Walker allowed a .309 ISO and wOBA of .451 to 196 righties last year. He was abysmal.
Maybe he's made some changes. But it's too early to know for sure. Ozuna has a terrific matchup agaisnt Walker using last year's stats. We'll go with it.
