April 10 Best MLB Strikeout Props
Gavin Williams Under 6.5 Ks (-155) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Gavin Williams struck out only 24.3% of batters last season. While that number was slightly above average, he only struck 22.1% of righties the previous season.
Ultimately, Williams will likely face six righties in today's lineup against the White Sox. Those six righties have struck out only 20.7% of the time this year. As an entire team, including the three lefties, the White Sox have collectively struck out just 20.3% of the time against righties.
Only Miguel Vargas and Luis Robert have struck out more than 21.9% of the time against righties.
Meanwhile, Williams has added just 18.9% of strikeouts against his first 37 batters faced this season. That's nothing to rave about. Give me the Under for Williams.
Michael Wacha Under 4.5 Ks (+125) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Michael Wacha struck out 20.8% of batters last season. That was already below average. However, this year, he's started the season with only 17.1% of strikeouts against his first 41 batters faced.
Wacha is falling behind hitters a lot more than he did last season. He's walked 12.2% of batters and has allowed 48.3% of hard contact with only 37.9% of ground balls. Wacha isn't on his A-game.
That said, he's facing a Twins projected lineup that has struck out only 18.5% of the time against righties. This lineup only has two real targets, Matt Wallner and Byron Buxton. The rest of the team has struck out no more than 21.1% of the time against righties.
With few targets for Wacha, the Under 4.5 at plus-money is simply calling my name.
Walker Buehler Under 3.5 Ks (-170) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best odds
Walker Buehler hasn't been the same since last season. He was once a reliable, dominant pitcher. Now he's not. Instead, he's struck out 15.9% of his first 44 batters and has allowed a .275 ISO and wOBA of .435 to those 44 hitters.
He's still getting ground balls and limiting walks. But he's not finding that putaway pitch. That's all we care about.
Converstly, the Blue Jays haven't hit for much power at all against righties. But they've been able to limit strikeouts. The projected lineup has struck out only 19% of the time against righties this season. Only Anthony Santander, George Springer, and Ernie Clement have struck out more than 20.7% of the time in the Blue Jays lineup.
Let's take Buehler to go Under.
