Two of the most storied franchises in baseball will continue their second series of the 2025 MLB season when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the Chicago Cubs on Sunday Night Baseball.

The Cubs dominated the Dodgers on Saturday night, routing them 16-0 at Dodger Stadium. It's Chicago's first outright win of the season against Los Angeles. It'll be a tougher assignment tonight against Dodgers pitcher, Tyler Glasnow. Chicago will start Colin Rea on the mound for the first time this season.

LEG 1: DODGERS MONEYLINE (-255)

I don't expect the Dodgers to look as bad as they did against Chicago on Saturday night. Los Angeles has their ace pitcher on the mound in Tyler Glasnow, plus they'll be facing Colin Rea in his first start of the 2025 MLB season.

The Dodgers have won six straight day games following a loss.. They've also led after three innings against the Cubs during a day game played at Dodger Stadium.

Glasnow did give up five runs and only struck out two batters in 2.0 innings pitched on the road against the Philadelphia Phillies in his last outing. I expect a stronger effort against the Cubs bats, despite Chicago ranking in the bottom-ten for strikeouts per game.

It's chalky but let's insert the Dodgers moneyline as the first leg of tonight's Sunday Night Baseball Same-Game Parlay.

LEG 2: TOMMY EDMAN TO RECORD A HIT (-220)

Aside from star-studded names like Teoscar Hernández and Shohei Ohtani, Tommy Edman has the second-most hits on the Dodgers in 2025. Edman ripped a home run to knock in 3 RBIs during Friday's 3-0 shutout win over the Cubs.

Edman has yet to go two consecutive games without a hit. Rea is a right-handed pitcher that has only pitched a couple of innings in three games for the Cubs this season. He's surrendered five hits in limited action, so I'd expect Edman will be ready to bounce-back with his 16th hit of the season on Sunday night.

LEG 3: KYLE TUCKER TO RECORD A HIT (-260)

Let's back Chicago's top offseason acquisition and take Kyle Tucker to record a hit at -260 odds. Tucker has four total hits in four games played against the Dodgers this season, including three in the Cubs' last two games played at Dodger Stadium this weekend.

At -260 odds, Tucker is the favorite on Chicago to record a hit. His odds are tied with Hernández, while only Ohtani and Freddie Freeman have shorter odds in this hit betting market.
