Giants vs. Angels Prediction
This is a spot where I really like the Giants. Kyle Hendricks just hasn’t looked like himself — he’s been hittable, his velocity is down, and he’s not missing many bats. That’s dangerous against a Giants lineup that can take advantage of mistakes, especially later in the game.
On the other side, Landen Roupp has been keeping the ball on the ground, mixing up his pitches well, and doing just enough to limit big innings. He’s looked much better than the box scores suggest, and I think tonight he has a chance to settle in and keep the Angels’ offense in check.
If Roupp can get through the first few innings clean, I like the Giants' chances to build momentum and grab control of the game. Their bullpen has been more reliable recently, and with the pitching edge plus better current form, I think San Francisco gets the job done and comes out with a big road win.
