Tyler Soderstrom has launched a .375 ISO and wOBA of .460 against right-handed pitchers this season. Today, he'll go up against Jonathan Cannon, who is a right-handed pitcher, struggling against lefties.
Cannon has allowed a .231 ISO and wOBA of .344 to his first 59 lefties. He's also allowed 42.1% of fly ball contact with only 39.5% of ground balls induced.
Meanwhile, Soderstrom has hit 29.8% of fly balls and 26.3% of line drives with 57.9% of hard contact. He's smashed right-handed pitching and has a terrific matchup agaisnt Cannon today.

Today, he'll battle Robbie Ray of the San Francisco Giants. Ray has allowed a .194 ISO and wOBA of .329 to his first 79 righties. He's only struck out 21.5% of righties and has walked 15.2% of righties. Plus, he's given up 36% of fly balls and has induced only 36% of ground balls.
Ray has also allowed 50%% of hard contact with a 14% barrel percentage to righties.

Ben Brown will take the mound for the Chicago Cubs tonight. Brown is a right-handed pitcher who has added 28.6% of strikeouts against lefties. However, he's also allowed a .167 ISO and wOBA of .357 with 32.1% of fly balls and 25% of line drives allowed to lefties this year.
Conversly, Bryce Harper, a lefty, has hit a .211 ISO and wOBA of .379 with only 14.1% of strikeouts against righties this year. Harper has hit 38.3% of fly balls and 48.9% of hard contact against righties, while hitting only 38.3% of ground balls.
Harper could strike out a couple of times tonight. But he can also be patient and get a good count where he'll be able to rip one over the wall.
