I have three players that I think are in great spots that have great odds to homer, and I'm going to break down why I think they have a great shot to go yard tonight! Let's dive into it!

MLB Prop Cheat Sheet: Wednesday, April 30th
1. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to Hit a Home Run (+475) Click here to see which sportsbook has the best Red Sox vs. Blue Jays Home Run odds
The first player I love to homer tonight is Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays. Vladdy homered last night and has been hitting the ball hard all season, despite the lower home run total (for his standards). He is someone who can hit homers in bunches, and can be a very hot hitter. That's not the main reason I like him tonight though, it's more due to his matchup. He will see Lucas Giolito,cwho is making his first start of the season tonight. Giolito hasn't pitched in the MLB since 2023. That year he gave up a ton of hard contact, ranking in the 8th percentile in barrel % allowed, giving up a total of 41 home runs that year. He does not get a ton of ground balls and has a high fly ball rate, which sets up well for Vladdy. Giolito threw primarily 4-seam fastballs, sliders, and changeups which is a pitch mix that Vladdy can have success against as he crushed 4-seams and sliders. You can find his odds between +400-+500 most places which I think is a great price!

The next player I like to homer is Pirates outfielder, Oneil Cruz. Oneil has been on a tear this past month and is now up to 8 home runs on the season. He is absolutely crushing baseballs as 15 of the last 17 batted balls have been hit 96 MPH or higher. 6 of his last 7 batted balls vs lefties have been hit 98+ MPH so he's seeing it well despite the platoon disadvantage. His matchup might not look the best on paper against Cubs lefty, Matthew Boyd, but I do think he can have some success and here's why. Boyd allows a high fly ball rate and has his entire career which is great to see when betting on homers. Boyd allowed 2.16 HRs per 9 innings to lefties last season so he's definitely hittable for lefties. He throws primarily 4-seam fastballs, sliders, and sinker to lefties which Cruz has respectable numbers against (vs LHP). Surprisingly, Cruz's HR rate was higher vs lefties last season and most of them were off pitches that Boyd will throw. Another trend I noticed with Cruz is that he has a home run in all three Wednesday games this season, so hopefully he extends that streak to four tonight. Given that Oneil's price range is around +500-600, I love his chances, and think he's a great bet tonight!

The 3rd and final player I'm looking to target for a home run tonight is Gunnar Henderson. I'm loving his matchup vs Carlos Carrasco who has been a great pitcher to target for all hitter props the past few seasons. Gunnar has had success against him going 3-for-5 with a dinger and just hit one last night as well. Gunnar has been crushing right-handed pitching all season as his exit velocity log looks absurd with 27 of his 34 batted balls going over 96 MPH. Carrasco is allowing a high fly ball rate and barrel % this season and his pitch mix sets up very well for Gunnar. You can find Gunnar's odds in the +400-+475 range tonight which is a great price and great bet in my opinion!
