Pirates vs. Rockies Prediction: Can Brandon Lowe Carry Pirates in Colorado Saturday Night?

Brandon Lowe 3+ HRRBI is one of the more appealing MLB props on today’s board, combining a favorable platoon matchup, encouraging recent form, and elite hitting conditions at Coors Field. With multiple paths to cash this number, Lowe is in a great position to continue producing offensively.

Lowe has gone over this line in 2 of his past 3 games while averaging 3 combined hits, runs, and RBIs during that stretch. He’s been making quality contact and putting himself in position to contribute in several different ways, whether that’s collecting hits, driving in runs, or crossing the plate himself.

Pirates vs. Rockies Prediction

The matchup against Tomoyuki Sugano is another reason to like this spot. Sugano has been more vulnerable against left-handed hitters this season, allowing a 4.79 ERA compared to his 4.54 ERA overall. Lowe, meanwhile, has performed better when facing right-handed pitching, batting .265 compared to his .241 average across all matchups.

There’s also some encouraging head-to-head history between the two. Although the sample size is limited, Lowe has made the most of his opportunities against Sugano, recording 2 hits, including a home run, while driving in 4 RBIs in just 3 career plate appearances. It’s a small sample, but it reinforces the favorable matchup.

The setting only strengthens the case. Coors Field is already one of the best offensive environments in baseball because of its elevation, and today’s weather should make it even more hitter-friendly with hot air blowing out toward the outfield. Those conditions can help fly balls carry farther and create additional opportunities for extra-base hits and home runs.

Pirates vs. Rockies Prop of The Day

An HRRBI prop also offers plenty of flexibility. Three combined hits, runs, and RBIs can be reached in a variety of ways. Two hits and a run gets there. A hit, a run, and an RBI cashes. One well-timed extra-base hit with runners aboard can put the ticket in excellent shape almost immediately.

Between Lowe’s favorable splits, his prior success against Sugano, and the ideal hitting environment in Colorado, this shapes up as another strong opportunity for a productive day at the plate.
