Brooklyn Nets vs Houston Rockets Player Prop Bet Prediction: Riding Jalen Green Again

Sometimes you get an opportunity to back a guy you just know is going to cover for you. We know the feeling well because we've been backing the same guy for about a week now. He missed on his threes prop last time but hit on his 30+ points for +340 so I think we should forgive him. The kid pulled in 2.4 units. He was our top earner on the night and he missed on one of his numbers. That's not easy. Especially for a rookie. Tonight, our prince is back in action and his team is a 17-point underdog. Normally I'd say pass on this one but I'm not sure we should be scared. We're talking about Jalen Green here. Not some scrub. I think only the mentally weak would fade him in this spot. To prove we're mentally strong, I say we bet him.

Jalen Green 25+ Points (+100) (Bet $100 to win $100)

The books are getting wise to us at this point. We're legit playing a game of chicken with a train here. At some point, it could get ugly. I'd recommend going with the 25+ at FanDuel over the 23.5 -125 at DraftKings. It's one point people but that -125 to +100 price is pretty big if you ask me. As always, do as you wish though.

We already know that the Rockets are just letting the young guys play. I love when teams do this. They shut down Christian Wood, Dennis Schroder, and Eric Gordon but left Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green to do the heavy lifting for the rest of the season. That changes everything. For the last week, the books were making lines for Green like he wasn't the end-all-be-all on the Rockets. Like he wasn't going to take 20+ shots.

The books have adjusted but not enough in my opinion. In his last four games, Green has taken at least 24 shots in three of them. The time he didn't he still put up 18 which is nice. In all of those games, he went for 30+ points. On top of that, he played at least 36 minutes in every game. I can't see why that would stop.

The only scenario I can think of that would derail his playing time is a blowout but maybe not. Last game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Rockets were down big in the fourth quarter but Green still came in to close out. They actually made it a game. There's no doubt a player on a team that is a 17-point dog is scary to back but we could be good here.

On top of that, we've seen some good games from guards against the Nets recently. Trae Young just lit these guys up for 36. Jrue Holiday dropped 19 on them the game before which is kind of a lot since Giannis Antetokounmpo broke them off for 44 in the same game. (Only one guy can score.) Before that, both Cade Cunningham and LaMelo Ball went for 33+ in the two previous games. I think it's Jalen Green's turn tonight.
