NBA player props expert John Hyslop is here with his top player prop pick for Thursday's Game 3 of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies playoff matchup with his eyes set on budding star Anthony Edwards.
ANALYSIS

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzlies Player Prop Pick: Will Anthony Edwards Go Off in Game 3?

The first thing I thought about today when I woke up was gambling. Not just any type of gambling though, big game gambling. (It's the biggest kind.) After getting jacked up last night with the OG hit, I need something big. A little +138 move isn't going to quench this thirst. We need more. There is nothing like pulling a big fish into the boat. Everybody knows that. That's just how fishing works. Well, this is the same thing. Luckily for us, I scoured the NBA lines for tonight. I left no stone unturned. I checked under the couch cushions and I found something we can all be proud of. Amazing work really but I don't even want credit. The +250 win is thanks enough.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Memphis Grizzlies PLayer Prop Pick

Anthony Edwards 30+ Points (+250) (Bet $100 to Win $250)

*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*

I'm at FanDuel but we may see something similar on DraftKings at some point. For now, they have over 24.5 for -105 which isn't bad but I didn't get out of bed this morning for -105. I need something big and the 30+ over at FanDuel is what I'm talking about. A +250 move can get anybody jacked up.

First off, Anthony Edwards is the new alpha in Minnesota. Karl-Anthony Towns is priced like the big dog, but if you've been paying attention, Edwards is the guy. That kid is not afraid of anything. Especially moments. Moments like this. We're talking about a real-life playoff game at the Target Center. That never happens. It's like Halley's Comet only rarer.

Edwards is a big game guy at this point. Don't believe me? Then why did he drop 30 on the Clippers in the play-in game? Riddle me that. If that wasn't enough, he hung 36 the next time he took the floor against this same Memphis team in the Timberwolves' first playoff game in a million years. The kid has arrived and the books haven't caught up yet.

The haters are going to ask why he only scored 20 points in Game 2. It's such a hater question. What did the haters think was going to happen? Did they think the Grizzlies wouldn't respond after losing Game 1? Of course, they would. But oh how the turntables have ....... Now the momentum is clearly with the Timberwolves. That's a bad thing for Anthony Edwards under bettors.

In his last six games, Edwards has scored at least 30 points in four of them. The Chicago game doesn't count because the Timberwolves were pulling playing time shenanigans. We all saw them do it. In all four games that he went over 30 points, he took 21+ shots. This kid isn't playing around people. I think he takes a minimum of 22 shots tonight and gives the fine people of Minneapolis a show. (They deserve one too. It's been a while.) If that happens, he should drop 30.
