Pelicans vs. Suns Game 6 Line Movement
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Phoenix Suns Game 6 Prediction
The Phoenix Suns vs. the New Orleans will take place in the big easy tonight with the series on the line. The Suns came into the playoffs as the clear-cut favorite to win the west and the betting favorite to win the NBA title. They have been tested much more than they anticipated in this first-round series versus the Pelicans.
The Pelicans came into the season with fairly low expectations, being priced +210 just to make the playoffs. It looked like a lost season early in the year as the Pels won just two of their first fifteen games overall. Their star Zion Williamson was announced out for the entire season, which was a massive blow to this team. The best player during the regular season and so far this postseason has been Duke alumni Brandon Ingram. Ingram has been one of the best players in the playoffs so far, and shooting guard CJ McCollum has been outstanding since coming over from Portland.
The Suns have been without their all-star Devin Booker for the last couple of games, but he is expected to make a return as soon as tonight. I do not believe he will play tonight, but I could see him playing if this series does go to seven games. The line tonight is set at -2 in favor of the Phoneix Suns.
I am backing the short favorite here tonight. I loved the way they responded in game five of this series and performed at home. I know they go on the road here tonight, but this is a team that is built of winners. They have a ton of experience on this team, and the younger players have been in games bigger than this due to their run last year.
Mikal Bridges was unbelievable last game covering Brandon Ingram or CJ McCollum, and I expect that energy to carry over to tonight. Chris Paul had a big bounce-back game, and his aggressiveness will be a factor once again tonight. I think sometimes we are blinded that the Pelicans were ten games under five hundred during the regular season. They were also 19-22 at home, so they have not had a ton of success playing in the big easy this season. We have got every game right of this series, and we will close strong tonight!
