ANALYSIS

Miami Heat vs. Philadelphia 76ers Player Prop Pick: Will Tobias Harris Go Off Again in Game 2?

The Miami Heat look like they are going to boat race the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference Semifinal round of the playoffs. It's bad people. Without Joel Embiid, the 76ers are just a shell of themselves. Even Sixers fans have to recognize this. They simply can't watch what happened the other night and say "it's ok, we're good". This is like DEFCON five here and the only good news is it's happening in Miami. They still have two other chances after tonight to steal one in South Beach so there is that. If Joel Embiid somehow comes back for Game 3 this thing isn't totally over. But we're not here to talk about Game 3, we need action on Game 2. After watching Game 1, I think it's clear how we roll tonight.

Miami Heat vs. Philadelphia 76ers Game 2 Prediction

Tobias Harris Over 20.5 Points (+106) (Bet $100 to win $106)

*Odds Available at FanDuel at Time of Publishing*

This one is at FanDuel as I opted for one more point rather than playing the traditional 19.5 at -112. DraftKings has the 19.5 for -110 so if you have to do it, hold your head high. There's no shame in doing what you have to do out here on these streets. Hell if you want to get wild and go with 25+ points, you can do that at DraftKings and get +275. We've got options people.

Tobias Harris. What can I say about this guy? People forget that he can score the basketball. They do. I didn't make that up. Especially the people at FanDuel and DraftKings. They act like a guy can do damage with Joel Embiid on the floor. They can't. I'm an Embiid guy but he's a ball hog. You would be too if you were 7 feet tall and filthy. There's no shame in that.

But Joel Embiid is not playing tonight which opens up all kinds of usage for the other guys. My take is Harris is the guy that everyone forgets about when they think of the "other guys". The haters are going to say that he only scored 14 points with Embiid out of the lineup against the Heat back in March. They'll forget to mention the fact that James Harden wasn't even on the team yet and Shake Milton took 18 shots. Haters are so predictable.

Here's the thing. Tobias Harris took 18 shots the other night. The last time he took that many shots, he scored 22 points. The time before that he scored 26. In fact, Harris took at least 18 shots 17 times this season. He scored at least 21 points in 14 of those games. The fewest he scored in any of those games is 17. I think he could easily take 20+ shots tonight. If that happens, I think 21 points is a pretty low bar.
