Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics Prediction: Don't Miss This Expert's +125 Eastern Conference Finals Bet

We've reached Thursday people. It wasn't easy but we got here. We've worked all week like the beasts that we are and now it's time to get to the weekend. There's no better way to do that than to gamble on the Thursday night NBA Playoff game. Everyone knows that. These games at this point are standalone Super Bowl-type events if you think about it. I'd even go as far as saying we don't even have to bet just player props. We can actually bet the spreads. I looked into the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat game tonight and found something crazy. Ridiculous even. Every single sportsbook on the planet has the wrong team favored in this one. Yes, you read that correctly. The WRONG team is favored tonight. What I mean by that is the inferior team is giving points to the superior squad. That's crazy. I've actually used it to my advantage.

Let's check out my prediction and pick for the Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics Eastern Conference Finals Series. Here are the odds for Game 2.

Boston Celtics To Win Eastern Conference Finals (+125) (Bet $100 to win $125)

*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*

Miami Heat vs Boston Celtics Prediction

I bet this one at FanDuel because they have the best number I could find and easily bet. DraftKings has this at +110 because they're not a charity. They know what's about to happen. BetMGM has +125 for those that can play there so there are other options besides FanDuel. As for Barstool, I didn't see this market over there which is crazy. Hopefully, they'll join the party soon because I like that book. If they do have this market, someone shows me where it is. It's possible I'm just not smart enough to find it.

Let me tell you a little bit about the NBA Playoffs and how they work. They want these series to go as long as possible. That's just how ad revenue works. And fun. When you have both Conference Finals as mismatched as this, you have to pull some strings. They know the Dallas Mavericks are dead in the water out west so obviously, they aren't a target. The entire Warriors team would have to break limbs and even then the Mavericks still might not be able to beat them. The Eastern Conference Finals is the only real target here. Smart move on their part.

What the NBA did for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals was brilliant. To have two of the Boston Celtics' best defenders magically unable to play the first game was perfect. It gave the Heat a chance to be competitive against a superior team which in turn gave the national media and the Miami fanbase something to get behind. They can't have two sweeps. Everyone knows that and that's exactly what would have happened if Al Horford and Marcus Smart would have played Game 1. Again, smart move on the NBA's part for doing whatever they did to make that happen.

But now the Celtics have Marcus Smart back and Al Horford won't be far behind. I would say smash the Celtics tonight but we don't know what kind of trickery the NBA is up to. They may pull the Chris Paul special and have the Heat go up 2-0 before losing the series 4-2. For that reason, I'm grabbing the Boston Celtics to win this series now at +125. If they lose tonight then we can just grab more at a better price. Al Horford is coming back at some point and when he does it won't be pretty for a Heat team that hasn't played anyone in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Once Boston is at full strength, this series is over.
