Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks Game 2 Prediction

We have been red hot all NBA playoffs and now have hit our last four free NBA bets. Tonight we go and make that number five! Game 2 of the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors will take place from the Chase Center tonight for what should be a good one.

The Warriors won game one in blowout fashion, led by a big second half from Steph Curry. Luka Doncic really struggled to find flow in the game and was shut down in the second half by this Warriors team. We saw a talent gap in game one, something I talked about pre-series. Doncic is the best player on the court, but if the role players do not perform for Dallas in this series, they are dead in the water. The role players did not perform, and Doncic was held under control which is a recipe for disaster if you are the Mavs.

They have a chance to even the series tonight and still do their job by stealing one game in the Bay Area. The Warriors will look to do their job and take a commanding 2-0 lead before going to Dallas.

The Warriors came out and made it a point of emphasis to defend. They took everything away from Dallas early, and they rode the lead throughout the night. Klay and Steph were cold in the first half, but that did not last long. Andrew Wiggins really stepped up for the Warriors early and hit multiple big shots in the game. The Warriors were clicking all night and will look to run back a similar performance tonight. The Warriors enter play as a six-point favorite.

I can not believe we can get the Warriors at a two-possession spread at home after what we just saw. I have read this team great all season long, and I fully expected this line to shift to 7.5/8 after game one.

Sometimes you just go by the eye test when you gamble, and I am in this series. There is a serious talent gap between these two teams. The way that the Warriors can defend and score the basketball is something I just do not think Dallas can compete with.

This series reminds me of the Denver series, where you have one star in Jokic and then role players who, if they do not step up you, are dead in the water. The matchup advantages that the Warriors have paired with their ability to throw multiple defenders on Doncic is going to be too much for the Mavs.

I would not be shocked if Dallas stole one at home, but I would be shocked if they compete on the road. This is a no-brainer for me tonight to back the Golden State Warriors at this -6 number. We saw that it was a huge advantage when the Mavs played small last series. They can not do that in this series because the Warriors prefer to play small. That allows more minutes for Jordan Poole, who has been one of the best shooters in the league this season. There will be no answer tonight from the Mavs. I love this Warriors spot. Let’s stay hot on the hardwood!
