Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors Best Bet: Will Al Horford Continue to Prove the Haters Wrong?
Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors Best Bet: Will Al Horford Continue to Prove the Haters Wrong?
I'm not kidding when I say that this could be the last game of the NBA season so we need to bet it. Not just any bet though. We don't need a side, we don't need a total, what we need is a nice rebounds plus assists player prop. We've been through a lot together this season and it feels like if it has to be over, it might as well be with the most random combo player prop there is.
There's just something about following a role player around your television screen hoping he either passes to someone who scores or grabs a rebound. That's living right there. On top of being a fun bet, it's not always easy to find one of these so when we do, that's a sign that we should bet it. Lucky for us I've already scoured this market and what I found was pure electricity. I can't even believe there is a book on this planet that would let us bet this. It's perfect in every way.

Al Horford Over 10.5 Rebounds + Assists (-125) (Bet $125 to win $100)
We've got choices here people. I decided to go with DraftKings since they have 10.5 but I had to lay -125 to get that. Not great. If that is a no-go for you (I respect you if it is), then you could go to FanDuel and smash that 11.5 for +106. I was waiting for an alt line to open up at FanDuel in this market but I haven't seen one yet. If anyone sees one, hit me up on Twitter when you do. It could be ladder time.
Al Horford has been pretty special this time around for the Boston Celtics. The guy is old and nobody expected much out of him. I'm serious. I live near Boston and not one person in that entire city though Al Horford was going to do much this season. He's proved all the haters wrong and that's why I think we should back him tonight. What if this is the last game of the season? We need to go with someone we can trust.

The thing about Big Al is he clearly loves the people of Boston. In 11 home games during the playoffs, Horford has covered this number nine times. In one of the games that he didn't, he ended with 10. This guy is right there literally all the time. He's gone as high as 16+ multiple times too so the ceiling for a ladder is clearly there.
Obviously, we're getting home on this in the rebounding category but even if he falls short there, we could get helped by an extra assist or two. So far in playoff home games, this guy has seen an average of 7.8 potential assists. In this series, he hasn't recorded less than four in either home game. Honestly, I'd love to see the big guy grab 11 boards and just be done with it but he could easily do this with a "nothing to see here" seven rebound, four assist night. I don't see how this bet loses.
