The 2022-23 NBA Season starts Tuesday night with the Philadelphia 76ers paying a visit to the Boston Celtics at 7:30 pm ET. The game is on TNT so we're watching it. Since that's the case, we'll need some action. it just makes sense. Generally, at the beginning of the season, I'm going after a side or total if I'm betting. The player prop game is where it's at after a week or so but my rule in the past has been to watch the sides and totals play out until you get a feel for who is who and what is what. That was my idea for this one but after looking through everything, one guy sticks out. There is one guy that I think we can trust with our greenbacks tonight. There is no way he will let us down. He's too dedicated to the cause.

Jaylen Brown Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+120) (Bet $100 to collect $120)

We're at DraftKings here since they have the best price. BetMGM isn't far behind at 2.5 (+115) so they are also an option. The only one that has probably priced themselves out of the market is FanDuel. At the moment, we are looking at 2.5 (+102). I'd probably still do it if they were the only book I could play at but I wouldn't be happy about it. It's tough to get excited about getting +102 when you know everyone else is getting +120.

Here's the thing about tonight. It's the first game of the season. I have no idea what is going to happen. Like zero idea. It's a new season with new faces in new places. Coaches are ironing out rotations and unless you know someone (inside information), it's tough to be ahead of the curve. You can do it, but it's tough. Lucky for us, we all know Jaylen Brown is as hungry as they come and he's in the same role as he was last season. We can trust this guy.

Preseason NBA doesn't matter and if anyone ever tries to give preseason stats to prove a point then they are crazy. With that being said, Jaylen Brown hit at least three threes in all four games he played in the preseason. All of them. He didn't play more than 26 in three of the four games so he's a guy that gets stuff done early. Usually, I don't like that but when you need a guy to bang out three threes, it's nice to see them start shooting right away. Brown does that. The guy knocked down two threes in the first quarter in three of his four preseason games. That's called dedication.

It matters who you play in the NBA and the Philadelphia 76ers aren't exactly a team you target in the three-pointers made market. Last season only a handful of teams saw their opponents attempt fewer threes. But the thing with Brown is this, he'll shoot. All we want is a guy that's going to shoot threes. We can't control if he makes them but at least he's attempting them. In Brown's last three games against the 76ers, he jacked up at least seven attempts in all three. In two of those games, he rattled in at least three. I don't think this should be a +120 move. Brown is better than that.
