Starting the season with some half-unit plays to get our toes wet but this a fun one. I have yet to see anyone talking about this one and I think it’s sneaky good. Haliburton is known as a great passer and a capable scorer but people never mention how he’s a solid rebounder for his position. Being a 6 foot 5 point guard is incredible and he has seen plenty of success on the glass against this Wizards team he is facing tonight. Haliburton, since joining Indiana last year, averaged 4.3 rebounds a game which is nicely over the 4 we need. Specifically against the Wizards though he rebounded spectacularly. Haliburton hit 8, 7, and 5 rebounds against Washington. 20 rebounds over three games with a 3/3 hit rate, all we need is 4. This game projects to be close with just a one-point spread so I would be shocked if any blowouts caused him to be benched and we do have the upside of OT potential. Haliburton has the chance to be the NBA MIP this season.
I think Hailburtons points are too low at 15.5 too so I thought about o19.5 PTS/REB but I really like this rebound prop as he has crushed it. Washington allowed a PG to grab 4+ REB in every preseason game as well so I don’t see this trend stopping anytime soon. This has the upside to cash quick but also should have legs going into the 4th quarter if need be. I expected this to be either 4.5 at plus odds or 3.5 with heavy juice on the over, only paying -115 here is great. Let's roll!
