Meanwhile, the Mavericks have to feel good about themselves coming into the year with what they did last season. This team is led by young superstar Luka Donic, but they did a good job surrounding him with talent last year. They put a lot of shooters around Doncic, which boosted the team. Dallas will not catch anyone off guard this season as they are considered one of the favorites to come out of the West and for good reason.

The Suns had a fairly quiet offseason, but the one thing that was loud was the absence of Jae Crowder, who is holding out. Crowder has been a great role play for Phoenix, and it is a situation to keep an eye on. The team also brought back big man Deandre Ayton, who is a guy a lot of people thought could be involved in a trade.

I am betting on the Suns to come out strong tonight and kick the year off with a win, and, more importantly, with a cover. This is a really good spot for Phoenix early in the year at home.
