Obviously, we're rolling with FanDuel here but Poeltl's assist number is available everywhere. His standard line is 2.5 (-130) at both DraftKings and BetMGM. If you have to play there, feel free. I just like going the FanDuel ladder route. I'll keep doing that until I get burned too many times but in my opinion, going "one more" on points, rebounds, and made threes is almost always a better deal than taking the standard line. In most cases that is.
This isn't the most extravagant play in the world. The thing about this guy is he plays on a team that wants to move the ball all over the floor. Poeltl himself doesn't want to shoot the ball all the time either. Take his points total over and you'll see for yourself. He's getting old er now and he just likes to see other people do dirt. The beauty is, the big guy can pass the ball.
Last season he had his moments challenging this number and in the preseason, he went for five dimes in the only two games that he played more than 20 minutes. Last year he opened the season with seven dimes against the Orlando Magic so maybe this is his thing. At the end of the day, I like this for +174.
