NBA Player Prop Picks for Thursday: Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and More

There are only two teams that haven't played yet to start this NBA season. Those two teams will get the chance to showcase their talents tonight on TNT. The Philadelphia 76ers will welcome the Milwaukee Bucks to town, while the Los Angeles Clippers will take on the Los Angeles Lakers in an in-state rivalry game. The 76ers and Lakers lost their first games, while the Bucks and Clippers will play in their first game of the season.

Here are three prop bets to consider for tonight's NBA slate.

Joel Embiid Over 26.5 Points (-108) (Bet $108 to collect $100)

Joel Embiid scored 26 points in the first game of the season. He played 37 minutes and went 9-for-18 from the field while earning 15 rebounds and five assists. Embiid was active but couldn't hit his threes, going 1-for-6 from downtown. That's going to change against a Milwaukee team that hasn't defended around the perimeter over the last couple of seasons. The Bucks always allow a highly effective field goal percentage from their opponents. The Sixers will only get consistent production out of Embiid, James Harden, Tyrese Maxey, and Tobias Harris. But I'm not sure if Philadelphia could count on 35 a night from Harden. Take Embiid to get at least 27 points in tonight's game.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 11.5 Rebounds (-108) (Bet $108 to collect $100)

Giannis averaged 11.6 rebounds per game last season. His prop is sitting at 11.5 to start the season. It all makes sense. However, against the 76ers last season, he averaged 13.7 rebounds per game, including 11 on the defensive end and 2.7 on the offensive end. That sample size was through three games. Plus, the 76ers likely won't shoot at a high rate and don't have much depth on their roster. There are going to be many missed opportunities that Giannis can clean up.

Ivica Zubac Player Double-Double (+375) (Bet $375 to collect $100) 

Since you guys are always asking for long shots, here's one. Ivica Zubac is projected to earn nine rebounds and nine points via most sportsbooks. If he adds just one more point and one more rebound, he'd be at 10 points and 10 rebounds and earn a double-double at +375 odds. It's worth a gamble, right?
